International Coastal Cleanup
On October 8th, a number of area youth and Boys & Girls Club Members helped to
clean-up along the river banks at the Fishing Wall and at Paddlewheel Point and

KYB for this very important cleanup event!

Volunteers near Gavin's Point Dam collected a lot of old fishing line, cans,
bottles and glass and cigarette butts from our shoreline!

Following a safety briefing and important River education talk by the National
Park Service, volunteers were ready to go clean!

Huge "Thanks!" go to Godfather's Pizza, Pizza Ranch and Pizza Hut for donating
pizzas to these dedicated, hard-working kids! Do you know what food is
environmentally friendly?! Pizza--the only residue is a recyclable
cardboard box--which we took to the transfer station along with plastic bottles
and cans that were gathered at Paddlewheel Point and along Marne Creek!
