Keep Yankton Beautiful relies heavily on donations, memberships and
grants. Although we receive tremendous support from the City for special
projects and events, our operation is not funded by the City or State.
We need your help in growing our beautification efforts, in furthering our
educational outreach on litter prevention, recycling and waste reduction, and in
promoting and growing our annual cleanup events that so greatly impact the
health, happiness and welfare of the Yankton community.
When you donate securely through Paypal (you do not need a Paypal account to do
this) you will have the option of noting where you would like your donation to
go. For example, you can choose to donate to a specific project like Youth
Programs, Meridian Bridge Park Project, Recycling Eduction or Cleanup Efforts by
simply typing in the pop-up box how you would like your donation to be used.

In 2000, Keep Yankton Beautiful became the first South Dakota affiliate
of Keep America Beautiful after a major manufacturer declined to bring
their business to Yankton citing "the blighted and depressed look of the
community." In the last 10 years with the support of people like you we
have cleaned-up over 50 tons of trash and debris, completed 7 big beautification
projects, planted hundreds of trees and flowers, grew and expanded our
educational outreach and collected thousands of pounds of hazardous waste for
proper disposal. With support from our members, donors and partners, we
have all made Yankton a more beautiful and green community and we need your help
to keep going!
